Punters log on to purchase print
When people want to shop, they head to ebay or Amazon before the mall. Now, an increasing number of customers are choosing to purchase their print online.
Melbourne company, D2P, has reported a growing amount of print work being won via the internet through printers having the right online strategy.
"There are hundreds of thousands of print customers searching online in Australia for printers every month; we can see it happening at the two print buyers web sites that D2P runs www.QualityPrintServices.com.au and www.ThePrintExchange.com.au. And there are hundreds of printers online touting for their business. But, if you know where to look and how to hook there are plenty of new business opportunities for all," said John Weichard, managing director of D2P (pictured).
Commercial printers can choose from three D2P Navigator website packages. "With a D2P Navigator website, our customers have opened up a whole new sales division running in parallel to, and complimenting their existing sales efforts. And this is all at a fraction of the cost, hassle and risk of employing a new sales rep," Weichard said.

Weichard likens the use of internet technologies that lure new customers to the art of fishing. "If you don't know the right spots, the right bate and techniques, you're just drowning worms," he said.
"We use the right bait to transform opportunities into customers and make them stick to a printer's online store."
