The new purpose-built premises are treble the size of the previous Brisbane centre, and will contain some of the world's most advanced Mark Andy flexo presses and other label printing equipment.

Andrew Siwicki, general manager at QLM said, “The new facility has been purpose-built for us with a focus on operational excellence. We will take our Difot and our speed to market to the next level.

“The investment in the new centre is a clear commitment from QLM Label Markers to support the Australian market with Australian manufacturing.”

MC for the event on Wednesday, which is by invitation, is marketing manager Jo Forbes, with Siwicki giving the opening address, CEO Simon Pugh giving a presentation, and a local dignitary making the official opening.

Siwicki said, “The event will run for just 20 or 30 minutes, and we will be inviting select guests for a factory tour, which we will be running once government guidelines allow.”

QLM Label Makers is a wholly Australian owned business with several shareholders. There are 100 staff in Australia, with a digital facility running HP Indigo located in Melbourne to complement the Brisbane flexo site. It also operates plants in Malaysia and Vietnam.
