QPONLINE gives New Zealand customers the edge

Quote & Print's New Zealand customers know that it pays to do things differently, says Rob Taylor (pictured).

With all due respect to our Australian cousins, the small size of the New Zealand print market means that Kiwi printers are always looking for new ways to innovate and differentiate themselves from the competition.

As a result, half of Quote & Print's NZ customers' sites are seriously considering, or have already installed, Quote & Print's integrated online estimating and ordering module, QPONLINE.

These sites range from a large university print and copy centre processing hundreds of jobs each day, to a specialist screen printer offering it as a value-added service to selected customers.  In true Kiwi style, both sites require some unique features that Quote & Print can provide to their exact specification.

In recognition of the need for individual solutions, a fully customisable version of the QPONLINE Online Estimating and On-demand Printing module has been developed as a stand-alone product.  Starting from any of the three existing set-ups, or "flavours", users will be able to specify the special layouts and programming they require to provide a unique experience to their customers.

Other new features that Kiwi printers are enthusiastically adopting are Price List quoting, which is well suited to digital and screen printing - including multi-style T-shirts - and the Plotter Wiz.

To remain competitive, more and more offset printers are adding digital printers and plotting, whilst digital printers are looking to offset for their longer runs.  As Quote & Print can quote any job for a variety of printing methods and run lengths, then compare the results, it enables jobs to be quickly and easily allocated between departments.

Another feature that can be used to increase customer loyalty is the ability to automatically apply special discounts for any stock or product on a customer-by-customer basis.  This can then be the basis for "preferred supplier" agreements and other loyalty programmes.

The customisation opportunities in Quote & Print extend down to the carton level; NZ Quote & Print users are shipping printed goods to their "customer's customer" with the customer's logo and details on the paperwork and carton labels.  Invoices can also be customised.

As always, it is those little things that go a long way towards helping your company to stand out, and build a committed business relationship in an age when so many other printers are adopting a "me too" approach.

Overall, Quote & Print is recognised by Kiwi printers as offering the strategic combination of performance, affordability, and innovation that is required to take their business to the next level of competitiveness.
