Quato releases world's 1st SWOP approved monitor

Quato 213 IntelliProof Display - The world's first display to receive SWOP certification with one of the worlds most commonly used image manipulation and retouching packages, Adobe PhotoShop.

This is just another accolade for Quato, the manufacturer of precision TFT displays, in addition to the UGRA certification received earlier this year. Quato's new iColor software for display calibration and profiling will be released in multiple languages.

Normally, a SWOP certified monitor system consists of two products: a remote proofing or ripping software and the screen, and usually, the screen itself is not SWOP certified when it is not used with the RIP or the remote proof application. During the last 12 months Quato have developed a unique solution: SWOP certification with the monitor and the most common software on every graphic workstation: Adobe Photoshop.

Now every user that has Photoshop and an Intelli Proof 213 has a SWOP certified system.

The new iColor software that supports both, UGRA certification and SWOP certification can also work on other Quato Displays but, at this stage has only been certified as SWOP on the IntelliProof 213 monitor.

The SWOP Specifications are used by those involved in the production of publications - including the advertiser, publisher, printer, advertising agency and prepress service supplier.
