Quickcut secures its future with US ad agreement
Quickcut is a leading international provider of workflow solutions for print advertising, and its deal with AP AdSEND, the electronic ad delivery service of Associated Press, will see its database expand to take in over 3,500 additional US publications.
Under the terms of the agreement, advertising agencies signed on with Quickcut will be able to deliver ads to the publications listed with AP AdSEND, with the local developer building a tailored interface for transferring ads to the clients. Quickcut is also populating its existing database with the specifications of these publications, complete with all the necessary information from physical dimensions to ink densities.
Grant Schuetrumpf, CEO of Quickcut, claims the deal offers the company a fantastic opportunity to make inroads into the difficult but lucrative US market. “We've already had great success both in Australia and internationally, and this deal will see us move into the US market as well.”
“The deal means that rather than reinventing the wheel in our approach to the US market, Quickcut will now be able to use the existing services and infrastructure of AP AdSEND, which will give our efforts a massive boost.”
With the latest version of the company's flagship QuickPrint software on the horizon, Schuetrumpf believes the deal consolidates Quickcut's reputation as a great Australian success story. “We're in the enviable position we are receiving support from both ad agencies and the publishers,” he says. “We've been able to prove to the world that we build world-class products, and it's a fantastic result for a local company.”
Dean Benjamin, executive VP of Quickcut North America, supports Schuetrumpf's claims that the deal will extend the company's reach across the globe. “This association with AP AdSEND allows advertisers around the world who use the Quickcut system to create, validate and deliver print-perfect files seamlessly to the majority of newspapers here in the United States, in a way that's totally transparent to the destination publications.”
Over 5,000 clients and licensees in Australia alone distribute more than 1.5 million print advertising files annually through the Quickcut network. The Australian-based company lists some of the world's leading advertising agencies and publishers as its clients, including ACP, Fairfax, News Limited and Saatchi & Saatchi among others.
