Quote & Print 2004 Year in Review

2004 has brought further changes to the industry with continued consolidation of operations, increased automation and further decreases in the lead time for printing. There has been a greater use of web based interaction with customers with those printers having the flexibility of a variety of customer service levels being well placed for growth.

The year has been busy for the Quote & Print team with two software updates and the release of new modules of Bin Manager, Job Link and Office Companion.

drupa provided a raft of ideas based on the trends of the industry and it was pleasing to see the functionality of Quote & Print is world class.

A Developers’ Conference allowed us to look at new direction and tools for software development and enabled us to “get a handle” on Microsoft’s plans for the future.


Quote & Print 2005 Year to Come

Looking forward to 2005 sees PacPrint05 as a highlight as we look to showcase some of the new developments in Quote & Print. These will include continued development in JDF and further enhancements in our Internet Interface including a Spoke & Hub model for On Demand Printing with secure credit card payment facility and file upload.
