Quote & Print brings 250 per cent ROI for Hornet Press

With the stock market nose-diving, the property market leveling out, good ROI figures can be hard to achieve. But there is an easy solution, says Davin Hamnett.

Mention a business achieving an ROI of 250 per cent and you're bound to encounter skepticism. How can this possibly be? Well how would you react if I said that these returns were gained from investing in the printing industry, and similar results could be achieved within your own business?

In July 2007, Graham Bell, (pictured), company founder of Melbourne Business, Hornet Press, approached Quote & Print looking for a Print MIS Software System to replace the existing software system that he was running.  He wanted a system that was more flexible, more integrated, and something that would allow greater efficiencies to be gained throughout his whole operation.

After evaluating MIS systems he found Quote & Print to be offering the best overall package that he felt comfortable purchasing, and spent approximately $50,000 implementing a system tailored to his requirements.

At the time of talking to us, Graham's front office and accounts department was running well beyond capacity, and was requiring another staff member to be employed to cope with the increase in workload and capacity.

This was going to cost him approximately $40K pa to do; however he saw that Quote & Print would alleviate the need to do this so the Q&P front office suite was implemented instead of employing the extra staff. "The result has been outstanding, we are blown away with the outcome," says Graham.

Not only was the business saved from the perils of employing the additional office staff, the existing accounts personnel now have an extra ten hours per week up their sleeve in which they have taken on additional tasks.

Due to the recent retirement of his main estimator, Graham was faced with the decision to employ a new estimator or to make best use of the new Quote & Print's system efficiencies and existing staffing levels to take up the slack.  Considering that Q&P has now provided Hornet Press staff with so many quicker and better ways of completing tasks, there has been a pooling and re-allocating of these additional resources, to the point where they can now cover the position left vacant with existing staff

Staff at Hornet Press all reckon that Quote & Print is a winner. They say that:
* "The flexibility over our previous software is amazing."
* "Preparing variations of quotes and quantities is very quick and easy."
* "Much quicker and efficient than the 'other one'."
* "I am thrilled with what Q&P can do."

As for Graham, well he's just chuffed. "I am thrilled," he says. "I make a one off investment which easily pays for itself in the first year, and I continue to reap the benefits of it for many years to come."

So friends, if you would like Graham's experience to be yours, feel free to contact Q&P for a complimentary evaluation of your business systems.  Or you may just decide to send your work off to Hornet Press, we all know that he can afford to print your work for cheaper now than he would have been able to before, no wonder he's smiling.
