Quote and Print goes to New Zealand
Quote and Print headed across the Tasman for the New Zealand Printec 2006 trade show. Like our own PacPrint the show is held every four years. The stand was manned by Rob Taylor and Jenny Taylor, distributors for Quote and Print in New Zealand, along with Dave Bell from the Sydney development team and Chris Clear, NSW sales manager.
Printech was used for the New Zealand launch of two new products:
The new Web Companion interface is especially designed for the sales reps and road warriors who have an internet enabled PDA or mobile phone. It allows them to easily look up customer details on their PDA or mobile phone, either just before a meeting or during the meeting itself. The information available includes contact names and addresses, quote information, job status and forms information that belongs to that customer. A request for a quotation can even be generated. The displays have been optimized for either a 10 line x 30 character display on a mobile phone or a 320 x 320 pixel display of a PDA.There was a constant flow of visitors to the stand, most of whom were given a full presentation on the Quote & Print software. The most common response was “WOW, I wasn't aware that Quote and Print could do that!”
The visitors came from all sectors of the print industry including offset, gravure, screen, digital, newspapers, labels and large format. Each visitor was shown how Quote & Print could work for them.
There were a large number of enquiries from wide format and digital print shops, a reflection of the growth in these sectors. The Quote & Print Digital Wizard and Plotter Wizard handle both of these technologies.
Likewise, the amount of copiers and wide-format printers on the floor of the show vastly outnumbered the number of conventional printing presses on display.
