Quote & Print's Version 8 draws a crowd

After its launch at PrintEx 07, Quote & Print Version 8 has drawn an extremely strong response.

"The results have been amazing," said Dave Bell (pictured). "We've received an unprecedented amount of interest from printers across both Australia and New Zealand."

Bell said that while Version 8 was well received overall, there were a number of features that generated significant interest. These include: internet connectivity such as online print ordering, web companion for sales representatives and a link to Google maps; improved navigation; new workflow; fresh look and feel; office companion for accessing data from MS Office; user-definable screen look and feel; SMS messaging; print procurement/management wizard; price list wizard and large format digital wizard.

One feature that Bell believes is particular unique is estimating software which can be used across a wide range of industry sectors. "This means that it is possible for the one estimator using the same software to quote on offset, digital and screen printing or to easily quote on offset and label printing," Bell said. "Another combination could be print management where all the design is done in-house and the printing is subcontracted out."

All of Quote & Print's distributors have been busy following up the plethora of enquiries generated by visitors who attended PrintEx by going out and doing on site demonstrations at the customers' premises. Bell encouraged other businesses to book a demonstration and see how Quote & Print could enhance productivity. "Having a demonstration is a great way to get a hands-on look and feel for why more than 400 Australian and New Zealand printers are using Quote & Print software," he said.
