Real estate no longer limited to the web
Beginning with Brisbane’s The Courier-Mail, the re-branding will encompass the residential sections of News Limited’s metro, Sunday, regional and community titles over the next month. “By that point, we expect a steady increase in realestate.com.au’s brand awareness among Australians and a continued increase in traffic,” said Shaun Di Gregorio, general manager for realestate.com.au (pictured).
Given that there is a growing reliance upon the internet, with an increase in online publications, the move towards print may seem somewhat odd. But Di Gregorio believes that covering both mediums will generate more enquiries from customers and achieve the best of both worlds for both companies.
“Most consumers do begin their real estate search online, but many still look at the real estate sections in newspapers at some point in the process,” he said. “We hope that being prominent in both print and online will be of great benefit to the real estate agents that advertise with us.”
He says that realestate.com.au chose News Limited’s publications because of their size and influence. “We think News Limited offers the best possible opportunity to help us deliver more qualified leads to our customers,” he said. “They are one of Australia’s largest media companies and part of what is probably the largest news provider in the world.”
