The industry was first taken aback with the Group Momentum (NSW) appointing administrators. Later in the month it emerged that Rawson Graphics had bought the client base and some assets.
Also in NSW, it was announced that a yet to be disclosed buyer had purchased Media Options Group. Rostone Printing had a creditor’s meeting for voluntary creditor liquidations and Printmotion fell into liquidation. Kiva Design and Print was sold to Peter Nicholson.
In Melbourne a merger was announced between KD Print and Print Group.

Colorpak purchased a new HP Indigo, Esko Flexo CtP system and a Roland B1 700 six colour offset press. Also in Vic, Whirlwind installed a new Komori GL 840 H-UV press, one of eight Komori presses Ferrosataal claimed to have sold in the past year. Flash Print installed a Cron CtP system.
In NSW Centrum Printing installed a Perfecta 168 guillotine, Frank Steel Displays a Taiwanese Grand Format diecutter, and D&K Packaging a KTM ML 1600 Platen Diecutter. Flash Graphics (NSW) installed an Oce Arizona 660 XT flatbed UV printer.
In Perth, Discus installed a HP Latex 3000 machine.
