Ricoh and InfoPrint Solutions team up as Galley Club sponsors

New chapter for Ricoh Production and InfoPrint Solutions as the two join together as sponsors of this week’s Galley Club awards.

According to Kathy Wilson, (pictured), general manager, production and business solutions for Ricoh Australia, the sponsorship shows that both companies are continuing to ramp up their commitment to the production market.

“Since launching the Ricoh Pro C900 last year, we have consistently launched new hardware, software, services and training to our line-up,” she said. “Speaking for Ricoh, I’m proud to sponsor the Galley Awards. It is only by recognising excellence that the bar continues to be raised and pushes technology to further heights.”

The joint Platinum sponsorship comes as InfoPrint joins the Ricoh Group as a wholly owned subsidiary, the culmination of a three-year joint venture between IBM and Ricoh.

“Both Ricoh and InfoPrint are excited to have the joint venture complete. We will continue to work together and identify synergies that will add further value to the marketplace,” Wilson added.

“It’s apt that we share this sponsorship with InfoPrint Solutions. Together we can cover a wider spectrum within the digital production arena, from cut sheet to continuous feed in terms of hardware and fully integrated transpromo and VDP through to integration and software.”

In Australia, InfoPrint Solutions will continue to operate independently as the company already has a presence, headed by the general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Rene Kisselbach.

“Both Ricoh and ourselves focus on providing a complete output system for customers. We complement each other and this will continue,” said Kisselbach.

“Although our structure remains unchanged, we are excited about identifying joint opportunities, such as sponsoring the Galley Awards.”
