Ricoh makes a splash with new Pro C720/C720S colour production printers
Release of two new colour printers strengthens Ricoh’s reputation in the production market.
Ricoh has announced the Pro C720 and C720S series, which will be available in Australia mid-2010. The Pro C720/C720S is the latest in Ricoh’s ‘Pro’ series of digital devices, designed specifically for the production environment.
According to Kathy Wilson, (pictured) Ricoh Australia’s general manager of business solutions and production, both machines will be a welcome addition to the local market. “This exciting addition to our production line up is further evidence of Ricoh’s commitment to the production printing industry, and our investment in this market,” she said.

The Pro C720/C720S is designed to offer reliability in a light production environment, running at 72 pages-per-minute, regardless of paperweight. Wilson pointed out that the inline finishing capabilities have strongly contributed to the success of the Pro C900, Ricoh’s flagship colour production device, and their black and white production engines.
To minimise downtime and production interruptions, the new devices incorporate Ricoh’s Trained Customer Replacement Units (TCRU), allowing customers to replace parts themselves. Users can also replenish toner while the device is running and take advantage of the extensive media input and output to optimise productivity.
“The Pro C720/C720S further enhances our offering for the production printing market – with Ricoh, customers have access to a range of engines, a comprehensive suite of software solutions, plus the services and experience to support them,” Wilson added.
