Ricoh puts its best foot forward with 100 ppm black and white machines

The line between professional and office printing requirements is becoming increasingly stretched as Ricoh joins the fray offering machines that are suitable for both. Moving up to the 35 ppm colour benchmark with its Aficio CL7100, it is hoping to extend its influence from the office to the print for pay market. Professional in-plant facilities are also part of its target market with the100 ppm mono Aficio 2090/2105 series.

The arrival of these machines further increases the choice of the industry to buy low cost multiple engines rather than up-scale more expensive production machines. The 7100 has a rrp of $8,250 while the 2090/2105 goes for between $48,000 and $62,000.

Clever finishing options are a feature on both machines and they are part of Ricoh’s ‘flexibility’ approach to the provision of printing products. We are likely to hear more from the company in the future.
