Rohan Holt heads to Seattle

Graphics guru from the Gong, Rohan Holt leaves Australia to work in the Seattle office of his company, LithoTechnics.

Holt, (pictured), is the Australian inventor of Metrix and has long been recognised as one of the industry’s most dedicated developers. In 2008, he became the second Australian to earn a place on the prestigious CIP4 board.
Though he grew up in the south coast of Wollongong, New South Wales, where the local office is located, Holt is no stranger to the US, home to LithoTechnics’s headquarters.

Speaking from the US where he is joined with his family, Holt (pictured) said that the move was an opportunity for him to expand LithoTechnics’s presence within North America. “The North America market still has tremendous potential for growth,” he said. “Australia and New Zealand are well covered and supported by our resellers … so we decided it was time for me to shift location and focus on further growing our North American market share.”

The Australian office in Fairy Meadow, which is primarily an R&D facility, will remain open, while Holt’s move is set to further develop relationships with Metrix partners, most of whom are in North America.

“There are great industry resourced in North America and I am looking forward to working more closely with industry associations and the graphic arts educational institutions,” Holt said. “2011 is shaping up to be a very exciting year, and I look forward to its challenges, rewards and new experiences.”
