Sarah Thomas is the industry’s $15,000 star performer

South Australian winner from Collotype Labels is the winner of the GAMAA-LIA National Graduate Scholarship.

The prestigious award was announced at the Victorian awards night following the two-day LIA conference. Sarah Thomas was one of ten finalists from around the country who had won their state competitions. The aim of the $15,000 prize is to allow the winner to travel overseas to further their career.
Martin Byng, APN Print Queensland, was chosen as the winner of the LIA-PIAA Future Leaders Award, which will see him travel to Dusseldorf next year to visit DRUPA 2008.
LIA President Greg Grace, commended all the finalists, saying this year’s group was one of the most impressive he had come across in many years. “I am very confident in the future of the industry when I see the calibre of our young professionals. Any one of these young people would have been a worthy winner of the scholarship. It is exciting to see the quality of our industry’s leaders of the future,” he said.
