Satellite shines with Sydney’s first HP Indigo 7000
Sydney printer, Satellite Digital, invests in new HP Indigo 7000.
According to director, Paul Culliver, the company made the decision to upgrade its press and replace the previous HP Indigo 3050 after being impressed by the quality of the machine. Our four-year plan involved increasing our market share by broadening what we produce. This machine can give us the capability to do so,” he said.
After researching all of the available machines on the market Culliver returned to the HP Indigo because of his company’s history and association with the brand and the environmental credentials of the machine.
“Our work is split between design agencies and large corporates who expect high quality and the HP is superior in terms of this,” Culliver said.

Culliver expects that there will be further investment in Satellite Digital’s printing capabilities in the future. . The company has also upgraded its web-to-print services to provide a more advanced service for customers.
The machine was installed in mid-October and is the first in Sydney. Since then, Culliver has been impressed with not just the work the machine is producing, but also the speed. He reports that it is running two and a half times faster than the previous machine.
“Each of these factors are really what separates the 7000 from what else is on the market,” he said.
