Scott Print picks up two ‘Bennys’ in USA competition
Named after America's first printer – Benjamin Franklin – the prestigious ‘Benny’ competition attracted a record 5,000 entries from all around the world. According to Andrew Neal, general manager, Scott Print, the company’s achievement is unprecedented.
“For an Australian company to take on the best in the world and win a ‘Benny’ is a great achievement, to win two separate awards in different categories is simply unheard of,” he said.
Scott Print won the awards in the categories of stochastic printing for its The Argyle Diamond Gallery produced and designed by Marco Dabala. The work was printed using a 25-micron spot with Creo screening. The other prizewinner in the promotional self mailer category- The Fruits of Our Labour designed by Mindfield – has already won a swag of honours, including a WA Pica, a National Print Award, and a Sappi Printer of the Year Gold.
In addition the judges awarded Scott Print a best of division certificate, four awards of recognition and a certificate of merit.
“These fantastic results are a testimony to the hard work, dedication and commitment of all our staff and suppliers and a terrific compliment for the Western Australian printing industry. These awards place Scott Print at the highest level possible,” said Neal.
“Given the size of the market in Western Australia with everyone chasing jobs, you have to differentiate yourself and what better way to do it than with quality that stands out.”
