Search begins for new Printing Industries CEO

Hunt is on for the next CEO of Printing Industries following Philip Andersen’s retirement. Do you have what it takes?

Printing Industries board president, Susan Heaney, said four board members, including herself, would oversee the recruitment and selection process.

“We are launching a national recruitment campaign this week to give us the widest and best possible candidate options,” she said.

Advertisements have been placed in newspapers, The Australian and the Australian Financial Review and online via SEEK.

Heaney said it was important that applicants understand the realities of managing a not-for-profit organisation and possess proven negotiating, lobbying and people management skills.

“This is a very significant time in the association’s history and development and we have an important responsibility to ensure we appoint the best candidate able to provide the leadership and motivation to achieve the goals of our association and of the industry,” she said.

“We have a new board structure that allows us to think and act outside of the square and be far more strategic in our vision and actions on behalf of our members. The successful applicant will be pivotal in this endeavour.”

Applications close on Friday 25 March 2011. Further information and a position description is available from Susan Heaney at: susan.heaney@printnet.com.au
