Canon joins DES and Neopost in distributing the innovative wide-format series of printers in Australia.
Signalling a renewed energy in addressing the broad graphic arts market as well as the signage and display sector, Seiko Infotech has signed on with Canon for its ColorPainter series. The Japan-based brand joins the Ocè Arizona UV flatbed, and the Ocè ProCut cutting systems as well as Onyx and EngView workflow solutions in Canon's wide-format portfolio.
According to Canon’s Display Graphics - product manager, Thomas Mckerrow, the Seiko ColorPainter series is widely recognised as best in class in the roll fed eco-solvent category. “Canon aims to supply the highest quality solutions in the wide format market. We’re extremely excited to make this important addition to our portfolio after a long and extensive evaluation process,” he said.
With over 100 Océ Arizona installs in Australia, Canon says that customers who purchase ColorPainters will receive experienced and reliable level of service, anywhere in Australia. “Our service teams are committed to providing the same exceptional passion and dedication to the Seiko ColorPainter range as our own Oce Arizona UV flatbed printers,” said Canon service manager, Cialan Shine.

Until last year Seiko products were exclusively distributed in Australia by Anitech, which was bought by Neopost. The channel is now being broadened as the brand seeks to reassert its market position in the eco-solvent space.
