The Victorian company was recognised for its outstanding achievements in water conservation, after it designed a simple Water Saver circuit to control water requirements on pre-press equipment. The Water Saver circuit yields an average water saving result of 40 to 60 per cent, with one company reporting savings of more than 100,000 litres on a monthly basis.

Savewater! Awards panel judge Rob Gell claims the event assists in creating a stronger water conservation ethic within the Victorian community. “The standard of entries and the efforts undertaken by Victorians in conserving water is more impressive each year,” says Gell. “Victorians are developing an increased understanding of the importance of environmental sustainability and are doing their best to aid it. I look forward to seeing what they’ve achieved this year.”

Nominations will close on Monday 22 August 2005 during World Water Week, and winners will be announced at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre during National Water Week in October.
