Show-Ads submerges into new premedia business - PMP Digital
With annual revenues of over $100 million and over 400 staff throughout Australasia, PMP Digital is the new corporate identity of prepress company Show-Ads, which was acquired by the publicly listed PMP Group in 1996. Responding to the shrinking market for straight-forward prepress work, PMP Digital is seeking to carve a role for itself as a premedia business.
In the past few months Show- Ads 'co-located' its activies into PMP Printing sites in Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane as part of a major restructuring. Last week it sold off its Digital Printing business in North Sydney. (Archive search = Show Ads). In material now released PMP Digital stated its new charter. ‘This is the beginning of a new chapter and a new theme – premedia. Today, the worlds of marketing and communications have taken a digital turn. Film is dead. Grain has changed to pixel. Hand-carved type has given way to vectors and Bezier curves. And Show-Ads is changing too. From the prepress specialists … to the premedia specialists.’
