Sign up for the First Print Media winter university session in sunny Dubai

The Print Media Academy of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be offering managers from the print media industry an intensive seminar in Dubai from February 21 through 28, 2004. Two leading universities in the printing sector, the University of Wuppertal and the Stuttgart School of Media, will also be cooperating in the event and will have experts on-site. The seminar will be held in English.


The first Print Media Academy Winter University takes place in February 2004 in the business hub Dubai. The Knowledge Village offers an interesting and open learning environment and is a meeting place for different cultures.

The Winter University is taking Heidelberg's international management programs from strength to strength. The focus of the Summer University, which has already been held twice in Heidelberg to great acclaim, covers general management topics, whereas the Winter University will focus more on technological aspects and offers more practical training. Plans are afoot to hold the Winter University at numerous different locations all over the world.

The Winter University is geared to managers from the print media industry who have at least three years' professional experience and want to make international contacts and learn about trends in technology and management. The benefits and challenges brought about by new technology in the printing and media industry are at the heart of the event. Topics such as information management, productivity, optimal workflows, change management and marketing and sales strategies all round off the seminar timetable. The participants are presented with real-life tasks so that they can analyse problems from a practical perspective and work on concrete plans of action.

The seminar in the Gulf is supported by BASF Drucksysteme GmbH and Dubai Media City. The eight-day intensive seminar costs € 3100.00, including VAT but excludes travel and accommodation costs. The closing date for registration is January 28, 2004.
