One of the first dedicated digital print finishing systems has travelled around the world to take its place on the Currie Group stand, with the new Horizon SmartStacker sitting in good company with two new HP Indigo 10000 machines on the Currie Group stand at PacPrint this week.

Currie Group's Horizon SmartStacker is making a splash at the trade show's largest single exhibitor stand, claiming a Print21 PacPrint Hot Pick.

The SmartStacker eliminates the need for traditional folding or cutting of B2-size printed sheets, matches the advanced technology that drives the HP Indigo presses. Currie Group says that the automation of the SmartStacker helps redefine the finishing workflow by removing labour and manual touch points for greater efficiency.

Developed to work in conjunction with the HP Indigo 10000, the Horizon SmartStacker converts digitally printed B2 sheets into individual sheets, sets or book blocks, and claims a production speed of 4,500 B2 sheets-per-hour.
