Print provider Snap Franchising has appointed strategic planning expert Anne Cashman as its new non-executive director to assist with the company’s ambitious rebranding strategy.

“We are delighted to have Anne join the Board and she brings with her a wealth of valuable knowledge and strategic thinking, including proven experience in implementing change strategy, which is a strong asset to our ongoing transformation strategy,” said Snap CEO Stephen Edwards.  “Anne’s experience in the U.S, Europe, Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region is essential, and her experience in dealing with independent owners makes her a vital voice on our Board.”

The rebranding and new centre design rollout aims to position Snap as an all-in-one destination for the print, design and online marketing needs of small businesses.

Cashman told Print21 that Snap has made a ‘very good start’ to its rebranding program and she’s ‘thrilled’ to join the team.

“The company has just initiated its major transformation, representing a significant milestone for the franchisees and their clients, and an innovative development in the industry. In light of this exciting period, I aim to work alongside the board and the wider Snap community to ensure we’re positioned as the best all-in-one destination for small business’ print, design and online marketing needs.”

Cashman said she’s already received positive feedback from franchisees about the strategy.  “I’ve only met a few franchisees but there’s a real sense of commitment, of wanting to go along with the change.  People are busy in their daily roles, with the main focus on generating income, so the key is to ensure that the ‘buy-in’ happens as a logical sequence, rather than requiring a degree of persuasion.”

According to a company press release, the appointment of the first Sydney-based director at the company’s head office also completes the company’s move from Perth to Sydney, and adds to the diversity of the Snap board, which is comprised of both family representation and non-family directors.

In her role on the Snap Board, Cashman will play a crucial role in policy development; planning processes, governance and ensuring focus is clearly geared towards the implementation of Snap’s ongoing transformation strategy.

Cashman has had an established and successful career in B2B and B2C environments in both the US and Australasia, coming to Snap after 15 years of holding CEO, MD and Senior Vice President positions, and 8 years as a company director.  More recently, Cashman has moved into advisory positions for strategy development and industry transition in diverse industries: office products, pharmaceuticals, fashion; and as well as board positions for technology and advertising organisations.
