Staff member snaps up Williamstown franchise
Faced with the prospect of losing her job, Victorian print employee, Te-Anu Braidie decided to go it alone and become a Snap franchisee.
Braidie (pictured) had just returned from a trip overseas to learn that her employers at Snap Williamstown where selling the store. Her fate rested in the hands of new owners and, at this uncertainty, she decided to jump in first and buy the Williamstown franchise for herself.
“One minute I was on holiday and the next I was making a decision about investing in a printing business,” she said. “It certainly wasn’t part of the plan.”

Since taking the reigns at Snap Williamstown on 1 July this year, Braidie has not looked back. While she admits that it is a difficult economic environment out there, her background at Snap, and prior positions in print management, web printing and sales for the Hobson’s Bay Leader, have put her in good stead to take the business forward.
“I like to think I can improvise, adapt and overcome any problems that come my way,” she said.
