Starleaton goes wide with nationwide expansion
Starleaton Digital Solutions has completed its move into its new 1000 square metre premises in the Sydney suburb of Brookvale. The company also plans to expand its existing sites in Perth and Melbourne, taking its national footprint to over 2,500 square metres, including its offices in Brisbane.
Peter Eaton, managing director of Starleaton, says that while no supplier can guarantee availability of the entire spectrum of inkjet supplies 100 per cent of the time, he is confident the company can match any of its competitors.
“We convert and pack a lot of our own media and laminate too, and this enables rapid time-to-market for both regular and special sizes,” says Eaton.

“The new Sydney premises, the Victorian and WA expansion and all of the infrastructure improvements that go along with such a major move, will improve our supply-chain handling and customer service even more.”
Starleaton's new headquarters represents a big leap forward for the company in terms of layout and logistics. A fully equipped large-format training space and showroom is nearing completion, while the converting operation is already slitting and reeling.
Starleaton moves into solvent outdoor
Starleaton has just signed off on a deal to distribute the HP DesignJet 8000 and 9000 large-format printers. The company has traditionally served the indoor display and short-term outdoor markets, but the new deal means it can now offers a more comprehensive range of indoor/outdoor solutions.
Gary Smith, director at Starleaton, claims his company is excited by the potential of the new distribution deal.
“This represents a major step forward for Starleaton Digital Solutions, with a world-class product from a respected manufacturer,” says Smith. “We intend to support the environmentally-friendly HP solvent range with the same high level of service as our other inkjet customers are used to.”
Starleaton is the exclusive Australian distributor for Kodak's large-format printers. It supplies large-format machines from HP and Epson, ColourGate RIPs, FotoFusion software, Seal laminating machines, Morane hot encapsulation film and Versamount mounting boards.
Starleaton also supplies its own range of branded inkjet media.
