Starleaton scores Agfa Anapurna distribution rights
Agfa and Starleaton Digital Solutions strike partnership to roll out Anapurna range around Australia.
Starleaton now takes responsibility for marketing Agfa’s Anapurna range and will feature the Anapurna M4F on its PacPrint booth. The news comes on the back of Aarque Graphics gaining the same distributorship in New Zealand. Steve Taylor, Agfa’s business manager for inkjet, believes that the newly formed relationship will allow the company to gain greater exposure for the printers.
“Our decision to focus exclusively on UV-curable technology has paid off and now we are turning our attention to a best-in-class distribution network,” he said.
“Starleaton ticks all the boxes and we look forward to working with them at PacPrint and beyond.”

Gary Smith, director of Starleaton, sees synergies between the two companies that will benefit customers.
“The combination of SDS with Agfa’s excellent technical support will represent the best way forward for those entering, or already in, the growing UV flatbed and roll wide-format sector,” he said.
Smith noted that the Anapurna range offers from four to eight printhead configurations with output up to 2.54 x 3.0 metres, production speeds up to 44 m2 per hour and, on the new Anapurna XLS, photographic resolution of 1440 x 720 dpi.
Coming on board as the Australian distributor is a big task for SDS, but Smith is confident that the products will be well received in the marketplace.
“We do not take this step lightly. We like to offer the best-of-breed and in the Agfa Anapurna family, we found solutions for every level of signage, décor and display printing,” he said.
