Stella Fella seeks Worldwide champions

Worldwide Online Printing (WOP) rolled out the red carpet for Project Futures’ Stella Fella awards night in Sydney as Phil Hoken was selected to be the male face for the campaign to end sex trafficking.

According to founder, Stephanie Lorenzo, the purpose behind the night events at the Veranda Bar with a special guest performance by Guy Sebastian, was to raise awareness for the issue of sex trafficking, both Australia and globally. “Unfortunately, men create the demand for sex trafficking. So what we are trying to do is showcase some Australian male role models amongst our community, people who will stand up against something like this.

“Our partnership with Worldwide Online Printing is basically going to allow their staff Australia wide to promote this campaign within their stores, we’ve got some really great campaigns coming out like Christmas cards that we are partnering up with them to do, for other companies and businesses to support our message.

“They have just been fantastic from the get go, we only formalised the partnership in August this year, however they have been a really big supporter of us since we started in 2009. With ad hoc and in kind donation printing, this just goes to show how much of a great relationship we have had over the years. They are on board to support the 2011 and the 2012 Stella Fella campaign,” she says.

TV and radio presenter, James Kerley was master of ceremonies for the night, keeping all 500 plus guests aware of the reason they attended. Phil Hoken was selected from the five campaign finalists, down from 50 nominees.

Liz O'Reilly, marketing coordinator for WOP, says initially the franchise group is just the campaign’s major sponsor with further impact on the cards as the partnership continues. “Basically franchisees will be able to nominate a Stella Fella from their area, within Worldwide, and we will select one nominee from across the network at our annual conference to be our nomination into next year’s award on behalf of the group.

“It could be an employee, a franchise owner or possibly one of their best customers; it’ll be someone who is really deserving of the title. We have done all of the collateral for tonight, and hopefully next year we will be able to work more closely with Project Futures,” says O'Reilly.
