Stream suppliers head to Noosa
High profile speakers, including Print21 writers, Andy McCourt and James Cryer, headline next week’s Stream Solutions suppliers conference at the Sunshine Coast.
According to conference organiser, Geoff Brennan, 140 attendees are expected to attend the two-day conference from 30 to 31 July at Noosa Heads.
Friday’s Strategy Day will be facilitated by well-known James Cryer and include a GASAA-organised presentation by Hannah Law of Switched On Media, regarding the role of social media in printing.
“A lot of printers are talking about how to use social media – be it Twitter or LinkedIn,” said Brennan. “It is a topic that I think will generate some really strong opinions.”
Lively Print21 columnists, Andy McCourt and James Cryer will present on IPEX and 'Print: the greatest moral hazard of our time' respectively.
Cryer, (pictured), said he is looking forward to making his Stream debut. “It is a forum in which I can encourage the debating of issues,” he said. “It’s something our industry probably does not do well, so I’m hoping to be like the bumblebee that alights on many topics briefly.”
Amongst the list of speakers is Bernard Cassell who will talk about the role of APIA and its paper – part of every day life campaign. “We are really excited to have Bernard speaking at this year’s conference,” Brennan said.
Colour management will once again be a strong focus, featuring a co-presentation by Stream’s Dave Mann and Kayell colour specialist, Luke Wooldridge. “Previously, we have had presentations from DES and CMYKit. The whole idea is to give our suppliers a series of options,” Brennan added.
“This year’s conference is more diverse than any we’ve had before and I’m looking forward to seeing how the floor responds to some of these issues and ideas.”
Print21 reporter, Mitchell Jordan, will be attending the conference, providing exclusive coverage of the two days and annual Supplier of the Year Awards.
