Street signs on with CPI

Bernard Cassel hails Greg Street as one of the most experienced proven performers in the Australian paper marketing industry.

The former PaperlinX senior executive – ex-general manager of Spicers and Daltons – is joining CPI, the second largest paper merchant, in September. The appointment is seen as a coup for CPI.

Street is widely recognised and respected throughout the paper and printing industries as one of the most knowledgeable operators in the sector. A career paper merchant with over 30 years experience, he will undoubtedly bring many invaluable connections to his new role of General Manager, CPI Paper, working out of the company’s HQ in Braeside, Victoria.

“From our perspective Greg is a proven performer with an extremely good reputation. Greg’s record of achievement over many years is unparalleled and we look forward to working closely with him as we continue the development of CPI,” said Bernard Cassell, Managing Director, CPI Group.

He made the point that paper is a relationship driven industry and that while Street is well known he also has the core competencies required to succeed. He believes the addition of Street to the leadership team at CPI Group will go a long way towards restoring the company to the preeminent position it enjoyed in the 1990s.
