Success sticks to Hally Labels at LATMA awards

Hally Labels go for gold at LATMA and World Label Awards last week.

The trans-Tasman company, which has offices in Queensland, Melbourne Sydney and New Zealand won two golds at LATMA along with two golds in the World Label awards and a Best in Show.

According to Tania James, group operations manager at Hally Labels, such a swag of awards is great recognition. “We are extremely proud of our award wins, as this recognises the hard work our team puts in ensuring each and every one of our customers receives award winning print quality,” she said.

“Our prepress team spends a lot of time ensuring the art files are maximised for our presses, and our print team have a wide range of technology available to ensure the best print quality is achieved.”

Another big winner on the night was Adelaide-based Studio Labels, which has celebrated a record year award-wise. At LATMA, it took out two golds, whilst also scoring five PICAs in South Australia last month.

Managing director, Miguel Costa Alemao, (pictured) believes they provide a boost to the company. “Awards are very important because the industry and our peers recognise that we are doing a good job and it shows the fantastic job our team are doing,” he said. “For all of us, it’s a reason to be extremely happy.”

He also admitted that the stakes are now even higher for next year, but he believes the company can do just as well. “It’s going to be hard to match that but we will certainly try to keep up with the quality which is driven by our customers,” he said. “Our customers are very demanding which makes us work harder.”
