Sun Chemical inks shine under new brand name
Sun Chemical introduces new global brand names for sheetfed conventional inks.
The global brand names, SunLitT for commercial, SunPakT for packaging, and SunTecT for plastics printing, were developed to help sheetfed customers better recognise the Sun Chemical brand and easily identify the inks that they need.
Sun Chemical's current existing products in the commercial sheetfed market, Diamond and Exact PSO inks will now be known as SunLitT Diamond inks and SunLitT Exact PSO inks.
In a statement, the company said that the adoption of these global brand names will reduce the large number of brand name trademarks and eliminate any possible confusion about what products Sun Chemical has to meets its customers' needs.
Locally, Ian Johns, (pictured) managing director of DIC Australia New Zealand, said that the inks had proved popular amongst printers.

“The new diamond inks are taking off very well in the sheetfed market, although we sell to a wider range than just packaging. They also perform very well on perfecting presses,” he said.
“The Exact set refers to ISO accreditation for reproduction to their standards. These inks provide an exact match for print shade and dot gain so printers can achieve the ISO standard. They are used widely when printers need to produce products which must match other printers across the country and around the world.”
Similar global brand names have already been created for Sun Chemical's packaging water and solvent-based, and energy curable businesses. In the area of energy curing, Sun Chemical has the global brand names of SunCure and SunBeam. Also introduced were the global brand names for the liquid inks businesses of SunSpectroT for surface printing of films, foils and non-wovens, SunStratoT for lamination inks, and SunVistoT for paper, board, towel and tissue printing applications.
