Surf's up as Signwave head to Melbourne

Sydney-based company Signwave restructures and moves its headquarters to Melbourne.

The changes see the formation of a new support team, consisting of Andrew McKay, general manager, Brendan Jamieson, franchise business consultant and Helen Spencer, franchise development manager.

CEO Susan Last explained that the restructure was to create the best possible team to take care of Signwave. "The primary reason for this change is to provide the Signwave franchisees with knowledgeable individuals that have practical, hands-on experience in the sign and graphics industry," she said.

Melbourne's growth and reputation for thriving businesses was behind the relocation, according to general manager, Andrew McKay (pictured). "It's a great city that's growing and we are all connected to it," he said. "As far as a support base goes, it's more central to everything."

As the manager, McKay has plans to build and grow the company's reputation further. "By harnessing collective efforts and skills from the new management team and working alongside our franchisees, my objective is to build a unified network under one brand that can service Australia on a truly national basis," he said.

McKay said that following the move there had been a good response from the public which he expected to continue.
