HP expands Scitex team

Phillip Burns has joined HP’s Graphic Solutions Business (GSB) team, in the newly created role of Business Development Manager for HP Scitex.

With over 15 years experience in the digital print market, the new BDM is recognised by many in the industry for his association with one of the leading grand format purveyors. And for the past four years has been responsible for assisting many customers with technology selections.

According to the director of HP Graphic Arts South Pacific, Shane Lucas, the new GSB team member is a well-known industry identity. “Having been a business owner of a digital print company Phillip is well versed in the practical applications for this technology and the market opportunities. It is this experience that we see directly benefitting our customers,” he says.

As a business owner Burns (pictured) was also an early adopter of Grand Format technology including solvent and UV platforms.

“The experience of owning my own business and investing in technology combined with my involvement in helping other companies to buy equipment has given me a strong empathy to the purchasing decision of users, both in terms of the right solutions for their needs and the most realistic way to afford the best product,” says Burns.
