The winds of change: 18 October 2011
This week’s movement in the printing industry sees Jon Ryder appointed to the role of CEO at CHH Pulp and Paper, plus Sven Petersen joins the GJS Machinery sales team.
CHH Pulp and Paper appoints new CEO
Jon Ryder has taken the top seat at Carter Holt Harvey’s Pulp and Paper operation in New Zealand, following the recent sudden death of Brice Landman,
Prior to this role, Dr Ryder was Australian Paper’s group GM of corporate strategy for a year, and held a similar position within PaperlinX before that for nearly two years.
For his contribution to the Australian industry in his involvement as an AFPA Board member, the appreciative association wishes him well in his new role.
Digital and direct to garment drives growth at GJS Machinery
Capitalising on growth in its digital and direct-to-garment divisions, the screen-printing and heat transfer product distributor has expanded its sales team repertoire with Sven Petersen joining in digital sales and support.
In his new role, he will handle the sale of digital printing equipment and consumables, installation and service of equipment and customer training and technical support, both remote and onsite.
Greg Stone, director of GJS Machinery, is excited to have someone with Petersen’s diverse technical background join the team. “His previous experience working in PC and digital communications support roles and tenure with leading distributor Ingram Micro make him a very valuable addition to the team,” he says.
In his previous roles Petersen has worked for leading Australian communications and technical services company BSA Limited, held the national project co-ordinator position with Universal Communications Group, delivering cost-efficient communications and media services to large residential developments and worked for leading IT distributor Ingram Micro.
