The winds of change: 19 July 2011

This week’s movement in the printing industry sees Steve Aliphon join Starleaton in WA plus Ray Van As appointment to sales operations manager at FUJIFILM Graphic Systems.

Paper guru joins Starleaton

Starleaton expands its WA crew with the appointment of Steve Aliphon to senior sales executive. Aliphon will bring 13-years of experience within the paper and inkjet media supply sector.

Having been exposed to the growth trends in wide-format inkjet printing in his previous role, Aliphon is positive about this move into the visual and creative side of paper and media supply.

Campbell Hughes, national sales manager at Starleaton says Aliphon (pictured) is very customer-focused and a tenacious problem-solver “who isn’t afraid to speak up on behalf of his clients to deliver the best service levels possible.”

Fujifilm GS adds new sales operations manager

First point of business for Ray Van As in this newly created role will be to refine the sales operations and processes, and improve efficiencies to add value to customer businesses.

“I will liaise with our customers to hear first hand from the print industry, how we can improve Fujifilm GS customer satisfaction through refinement of Sales Operations,” he said.

Filling in Van As' seat of senior account manager will be industry veteran, Matt Bounds.

“After nearly 20 years in the print industry working in small offset and the last 3 1/2 years with CPI Graphics, I am very happy to be joining the Fujifilm team working with the Graphic Systems Division. Ray Van As has done an exceptional job building and servicing his valued clients,” says Bounds.
