The winds of change: 21 January 2009
New appointments keep on coming in the printing industry. This week, Print 21 catches up with some fresh faces at Fujifilm Sericol and Omnilab.
Tatjana takes on wide format
Tatjana Ferguson to the position of wide format manager, created recently to assist new and existing customers across a broad spectrum of digital products and services. “It is a broad title,” she admitted, “but essentially I’m here to help customers with any piece of equipment, ink or consumables in the water-based and eco solvent sectors in the wide format market.”
With 16 years experience in the industry, working with organisations such as Anitech and Spandex, Ferguson (pictured) hopes this knowledge will give her a strong base to provide both technical assistance and customer service.

“There are some wide format printers that represent perfect examples of these advances by combining speed, quality and affordability,” Ferguson said.
Omnilab appoints SubStation manager
Linda Baker has joined Omnilab as general manager of The SubStation, the company’s newly launched subtitling and captioning service.

Baker (pictured) who launched the new captioning service on 1 September last year commented, “The SubStation launch is a very welcome one for me. The team we have put together is second-to-none combining vast industry knowledge and expertise. It is a logical extension of Omnilab’s existing media services and has been very welcomed by clients across the board.”
Welcoming Baker aboard, Grant Schuetrumpf said: “We are very excited to have Linda join our team in such a senior role heading up this new service offering for Omnilab Media. As anyone in the captioning industry knows, Linda has more experience and better relationships than most, which makes her invaluable in this market.”
