This week's round-up sees Peter Hobbs bid adieu to the industry after more than 40 years of service while Steve Green moves up the ladder at Kodak.
Hobbsy heads off on new adventure
A leviathan of the graphic arts supply side in Australia called an end to a 40-year career at a farewell lunch in Melbourne last week. Well-known and liked industry identity, Peter Hobbs, hosted a bunch of his good industry colleagues, to announce his retirement.
The affable 'Hobbsy' has enjoyed a wide-ranging career in many facets of the graphic arts industry, finally and notably as prepress representative for DES in Melbourne. His well-attended farewell, reading like a who's who of a goodly section of the industry, heard of plans to travel, spend time with family and learn to play the piano! Print 21 adds its own well wishes for Hobbsy's long, healthy, enjoyable and musical future.

New role for Steve Green
Kodak's Steve Green has gone from regional business vice resident prepress solutions to vice president marketing prepress solutions.
This worldwide role will see Green (pictured) responsible for building the marketing organization for prepress solutions around the world.

"It's a big job and big challenge but one that I am looking forward to getting started on and one where I can hopefully make a difference," Green said.
"I hope to build a truly global team of outstanding marketers who will help our customers, partners and obviously Kodak grow FAST. We will focus on putting all the fantastic Kodak innovations and industry leading market segment solutions to our key target markets and segments, staying based in the Asia Pacific region re-inforces the importance of this part of the world to Kodak. Finally, we will be working to keep Kodak at the forefront of leading the printing industry's transformation into the digital world."
Green will continue to be based in Singapore.
