The winds of change: people moving, leaving, news; 7 February 2008
The printing industry has more people coming and going than an airport. This week, Print 21 takes a look at the flurry of changes that has occurred.
Rob makes an impression on DIG
Rob Bykowski (pictured) moves over from Kodak to join the Digital Impressions Group as a technical sales and service specialist.
Welcoming Bykowski, managing director, Warren Davey said: "We are ecstatic to have Rob on board. Rob's vast knowledge and passion for digital print is unsurpassed and fits perfectly with our company's plans for the future. His knowledge of Kodak's range of digital printing equipment which we now sell and service in Australia is second to none."

First impressions last and Bykowski said that he looked forward to a promising career with the company. " I am very pleased at becoming part of the team at The Digital Impressions Group," said Bykowski. "I recognise the huge value of being dedicated to the sales and service of digital printing equipment to the graphic arts industry and the importance of being able to provide strong and independent advice to any company that is looking at investing or reinvesting in digital equipment."
Software in the city
The Sohnar Software team can now claim to be city slickers after making the move from Rockdale to Surry Hills.

The move to the new premises comes at a time when the company has experienced growth, appointing three new staff: Tegan Coles, sales and administration assistant, Jamie Sciban, training and development manager and Sonia Hickey, marketing and public relations.
"We are definitely experiencing a growth phase, which is why we are putting more people in place, to cope with demand," said Jeremy Rudge, Sohnar chairman.

Since opening in Australia 18 months ago, Rudge says the company has developed considerably, and he anticipates that this will continue. "As clients become more demanding about how agencies spend their dollars, we only predict further strengthening of our position in the market in Australia," he said.
