Andre arrives in Australia

Recently arriving in Australia, Andre Siebeneicher (pictured) has joined Kayell as a support engineer. Andre comes from Germany, where he worked at GMG’s headquarters as a technical development engineer on the research and development team.

Having worked in colour management and end-to-end PDF workflows, his extensive skill base make him an asset for Kayell. “We are fortunate to acquire the skills and experience that Andre brings,” said Robert Gatto, Kayell director. “We now have more than 100 GMG proofing and colour server installations in Australia and Andre’s presence here will provide world-class support to both existing and new GMG customers.”

Andre’s main duties at Kayell will include looking after the technical direction of GMG in Australia. And while there’s a big difference between Germany and Australia, Andre reports that so far, he’s enjoying the new country. “It’s very interesting to work in another country and compare the printing industry to Europe,” he said. “Australians are very open-minded and friendly to foreigners.”

New product specialist comes to CPI
Recently joining CPI Melbourne is Annie Stuart (pictured) who takes up the position of product specialist.

Though she’s not traditionally a paper representative, Stuart does have a background in publishing and prepress where was involved in the advent of the first Macintosh publishing system, and later as a colour specialist for Xerox. “With CPI, I will be connected more at the concept and design level in corporate, government and higher education markets,” she said.

One of Stuart’s main duties will be promoting CPI’s products that “allow designers to create beautiful products which are environmentally friendly and have the ability to broaden the design scope without having to compromise corporate environmental consciousness.”

The people Stuart works with are one of the best things about her new job, she said. “I connected with CPI because I knew a lot of people who had great things to say about them,” she said. “It tends to be a little bit hit and run with some other organisations out there. Here there is a great balance between good business and old-fashioned customer relationships and support; that sits well with me.”
