Third year, still lucky: Goss sales on a roll

The press and finishing kit manufacturer reached sales of $1.1 billion for 2006. Sales of the company's newspaper press, the Flexible Printing Press contributed to Goss achieving a consistently high turnover for the third year in a row.

Speaking from Australia, Peter Kirwan, vice president, Asia Pacific sales was unauthorised to provide the sales statistics for the Australian and New Zealand markets; but he could confirm that both countries achieved strong results.

"In our newspaper and commercial sales we achieved strong sales in both areas," he said. "In proportion to our market we're performing very well."

Diversity has been one of the factors which has led to Goss' success, according to chief executive Bob Brown who told media that: "Customers ordered or installed every one of our major press and finishing systems in 2006, demonstrating the value of our diverse portfolio."

Goss International is based in the US with sales offices in England, Japan, Australia, Singapore, China and France.
