Thirtieth birthday celebrations for Starleaton
Starleaton takes the cake as it kicks off thirtieth birthday blitz.
Peter Eaton, managing director, opened the company in 1978 after realising there was a market for a new player to bring heat-seal laminating and dry mounting adhesive sheets to the Australian professional photography and graphic display industries.
"We felt there was an opportunity to provide better service and continuity of supply, so we invested in a few pallets of CSL products and the market responded by supporting us because we reinvested in stock and could keep up with the demand," Eaton (pictured) recounted.

The rest may all be history, but Eaton recalls the company's national growth and move into wide-format as highlights in Starleaton's story. 2008 isn't over yet, but Eaton said that it has already been a big year for Starleaton. "So far this year we have added Alcan Composite materials to expand into rigid substrates for mounting and printing, numerous new staff and we have begun the move to Eco-friendlier inks and substrates."
Thirty years may be a long time in business, but Eaton believes the time has gone fast. "It seems like a whirlwind ride of constant growth," he said.
"The one constant is that there will always be a growing need for business to display and advertise its products in both interior and exterior venues and these images and signs need to be professionally produced and protected."
