Changes to superannuation that come into effect from 1 July will be the focus of a Printing Industries free Better Business webinar on Thursday.

From 1 July 2015, all businesses with less than 20 staff will have to comply with new data standards for processing compulsory superannuation payments under changes to Stronger Super Regulations.

Companies employing more than 20 staff were required to implement the changes over 12 months from 1 July last year and will soon be out of time to comply.

Guest speakers from printing industry superannuation fund Media Super will cover a range of compliance issues that affect every employer, as well as outlining how the changes will streamline super payments and simplify fund selection.

Topics include:

  • MySuper - making it easier to compare different superannuation products.
  • SuperStream - standardising superannuation transaction data.
  • Superannuation Guarantee - payment scheduling and payroll requirements.

The webinar will also detail how companies currently using Media Super as their default fund can use its clearing house service to simplify dealing with multiple super funds for their staff.

The 30-minute webinar will start at 1pm (AEST) on Thursday 23 April and includes a Q&A session at the end.
