Truepress Jet520 on its way to IPEX

IPEX will see a new chapter for Dainippon Screen with the release of its Truepress Jet520EX.

According to a release from the company, the variable printing system is expected to significantly decrease adoption costs for the monochrome on-demand printing market.
In recent years, the needs of the printing industry for POD (Print On Demand) have grown. This has been particularly evident in the expanding production of small lots of many types of monochrome printed materials including various types of forms and user manuals, as well as on-demand publishing. As a result, conventional toner type printers and monochrome inkjet printers are required to handle an ever-wider range of printing applications. At the same time, they are also required to provide higher quality and lower costs plus greater productivity and stability.

The Truepress Jet520 full-color variable printing system, released by Screen in 2006, has gained a reputation as an on-demand printer capable of handling diverse applications. This has generated strong sales and adoption in both the Japanese and international markets. The newly developed Truepress  Jet520EX Monochrome type builds on these results. The system is specially designed for monochrome  on-demand printing and is capable of producing high-speed output of 128 meters per minute.

Screen plans to exhibit an actual unit of the newly developed Truepress Jet520EX Monochrome type at IPEX later this month.
