The automatic, touchscreen-controlled BQ-480 allows the use of both EVA and PUR glue, and has built-in spine and hinge scoring.

Wayne Rubin, director of Twin Loop, said having been a loyal customer of Currie Group for many years made the choice an easy one.

“To have a machine from Currie Group is a no-brainer. We have enjoyed a strong beneficial. relationship. It was a natural progression to upgrade our equipment.

“My business needs to keep on the front foot – we need to keep looking at new technology to stay ahead of the competition,” he said, adding, "The new BQ-480 has a host of new features that enhance our offering."

Rubin said this new perfect binder would enable his business to deliver more to customers.

“By purchasing this new equipment we’ll be one step ahead of what’s on the market, and it will enable us to continue giving good service and excellent quality while reducing make-ready time, which keeps the cost down,” he said.

Will Currie of Currie Group told Print21 that he has known Rubin for several years, and that this investment was born out of the strong partnership between the two companies.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to keep fostering the relationship, and a good time for Wayne to invest,” he said.
