UK colour expert addresses LIA in Sydney
UK-based Mellow Colour’s founder and ceo Alan Dresch, will bring to the meeting his perspective as to why colour management and conformance to an international standard are prerequisites for doing profitable business now and in the future
Alan Dresch, (pictured) has been involved in a form of colour management since the age of fifteen when he began a six year apprenticeship with a leading London repro house. He was one of the very first Hell scanner operators. Since those early days, he has gone on to hold a wide range of senior technical positions in the UK and the US.

In the late eighties Alan was made responsible for the development of new product opportunities at ICG, including development of the first drum scanner to desk-top link, and the award winning ICG vertical drum scanner. During this period ICG Ltd twice won the Queens Award for Technological Achievement. Alan's name appears on a variety of innovative pre-press patents filed by ICG.
Dresch founded Mellow Colour Ltd in 2003. In doing so, he focused on making the company a specialist in colour reproduction. To achieve this, Alan added to the business the additional expertise of a seasoned group of colour software specialists, headed by the respected colour scientist Peter Neilson. Today, Alan is driving a company which is committed to the delivery of top quality pre-press and printing colour management.
