US digital print organization comes to the region

Garry Knespal, executive officer of GASAA, has signed to promote the personalised digital printing organization in Australia and New Zealand. Long an advocate of digital technology he believes PODi AustNZ is just what the local industry needs to enhance its personalisation game.

The local organization PODi will help to develop personalised printing in Australia and New Zealand by providing business tools ¬– value calculators, sales accelerator tools and compensation matrixes ¬– configured to reflect local conditions. Focused on print service providers, creatives and digital print vendors, PODi AustNZ will encourage members to access the online library of over 300 cases of successful personalised print campaigns.

“It’s very important that local providers be able to develop and share their experiences with the wider industry,” said Knespal. “Personalised printing is the future of the digital sector. Our access to the full range of PODi resources will greatly assist creative providers to maximise the benefits and opportunities presented by digital printing.”

He is currently calling for speakers in the field for the inaugural Applications Forum. PODi founder, Rab Govil will present at the Sydney event, (October 16-17) which is the first international initiative of the organization.

According to Knespal major sponsorships have been obtained from leading digital printing equipment suppliers, including Fuji Xerox and Océ. He believes the local industry will respond positively to the initiative.
