Value for money – “Australian-owned Quote & Print wins hands down”

One of the benefits of Quote & Print that is most often overlooked is its low cost of ownership. Most Quote & Print users have no onsite support staff for either software or hardware relying on the Quote & Print support team whenever they need help with the software and calling on outside contractors whenever they have hardware issues.

Richard Hamilton, Manager of React Solutions, an IT support company that specialises in looking after networks and systems in SME’s across New South Wales, believes Quote & Print is the best MIS option by far. He spoke with Dave Bell about Quote & Print from the perspective of an IT support point of view.
  • Q. When did you first come across Quote & Print Software?
    A. Back in 2000 we started working with a client who was a printer and was using Quote & Print to help them manage and grow their business.
  • Q. What were your first impressions?
    A. We were surprised by the power of the system and the inclusion of so many facets of a printer’s business being covered by the one software package - Quote & Print.
  • Q. How many Quote & Print sites do you support?
    A. Just over 15 sites predominantly in Sydney and the Central Coast, plus we assist our partner companies in other states with their printing clients.
  • Q. What sizes are they?
    A. The smallest is two staff (print management firm) and the largest is 175 staff with around 80 Quote & Print users over three locations.
  • Q. What differentiates Quote & Print from similar packages?
    A. The three biggest differences are the ease of use (particularly for new users), that Quote & Print is a complete package designed exclusively for the print industry and that Quote & Print is 100% Australian owned, developed and supported.
  • Q. Is Quote & Print value for money?
    A. In comparison to its major competitors Quote & Print wins hands down on both price and value for money. There are less expensive overseas packages available but they do not provide the same features set, the same level of support or the same return on investment as Quote & Print.
  • Q. Is it easy to support and maintain?
    A. Very easy, so long as the computers and network on which it is based are kept in a good condition. Probably 90 per cent of user issues that clients tell us about are actually network issues or problems rather than Quote & Print issues.
  • Q. What do your users say about Quote & Print?
    A. The clients that have had it for any period of time are fiercely loyal about it. Clients that have just implemented Quote & Print in the past year comment on how it has improved not only their workflow both in quoting and managing the jobs but also their understanding of what is really going on in their business.
  • Q. Would you recommend Quote & Print to other printers?
    A. Yes, and we do. We have some printing clients that use other products apart from Quote & Print and we find that these clients are less satisfied with their systems and workflow than those with Quote & Print.
  • Q. What are the advantages of supporting a product that is written in Australia?
    A. The staff at Quote & Print Software have an understanding of the Australian print industry as well as our governmental and tax systems that the other systems don’t provide. With support staff throughout Australia and New Zealand Quote & Print can deliver not only phone support but also onsite support to most Australian print companies.
