Victorian on the move

Printing Industries will move to its new premises in July, with the new location in ComPark, Mulgrave selected because of its proximity to the geographic centre of the printing industry in Melbourne.

The move will provide the association with upgraded training facilities and improved accommodation for staff. The new ComPark headquarters also satisfies a number of other criteria including easy freeway access, car-parking availability, after-hours security and closeness to print companies.

Tony Duncan, Victorian regional manager of Printing Industries, says the move offer a boost to the organisation's activities in the state, with the lowered cost of real estate meaning it can afford an upgrade to its facilities.

“After 17 years in the current location, it will be with some regret we leave Hawthorn,” says Duncan.

“However, the print industry has shifted its geography during this time, and the new location positions Printing Industries well for the next 10 years plus. We will now be right in the centre of industry activity, making it easier for members to stay in touch with the organisation.”
